1. Keeping Your Guests in the Know
Guests will be travelling far and wide to celebrate with you, so be clear with the instructions for the day. Whether it’s an order of the day, signage, or a wedding website, providing key details such as timings, dress code, and directions will help your guests feel comfortable and enjoy the day even more.

2. Final Wedding Schedule Check
If you haven’t hired a planner or coordinator, be sure to check your wedding schedule with a key supplier, such as your venue or photographer. Use their expertise and knowledge in the industry to highlight anything you may have missed or resolve time clashes.
3. Cocktail Hour Entertainment
Cocktail hour is a natural transition between the ceremony and reception, guests are full of food so it’s important to avoid a lull and keep energy levels high. Think about entertainment options, such as live music, games, or interactive food stations, to keep the atmosphere lively while you and your wedding party are busy with photos. 4. Reserved Seating for the Ceremony
Make sure there is designated seating for bridesmaids, groomsmen, and close family members. This small touch avoids any confusion and ensures your loved ones are exactly where they need to be.

Set up a table with clear signage for guests to leave cards and presents. This will make it easier for your venue team or designated person to keep everything safe and organised.

If I had a pound for every speech I’ve had to print at the last minute…! So this one had to make the list for wedding details couples commonly forget.
Avoid unnecessary stress by printing your speech ahead of time (and maybe even a backup copy that you can leave with your Coordinator or venue team, just in case!).

The last thing you want to be doing on the morning of your wedding is steaming dresses. With hair and makeup in full swing, dealing with a steamer is the last thing you need. Prep your dresses the night before so you can focus on enjoying the morning with your bridal party.
9. Cake Knife and Stand
Couples often spend a lot on their wedding cake but forget about how it will be displayed. Check with your venue or cake maker to see if they provide a stand and knife or arrange to hire one to ensure your cake presentation is picture-perfect.

10. A Pen for the Guestbook
It’s a tiny detail, but a crucial one! If you’re having a guestbook, make sure you have a nice pen that matches your wedding style. The last thing you want is a cheap advertising pen from the bottom of someone’s handbag making an appearance in your wedding photos
